1/31 Grayson Borquist

He was born 5 months ago - we finally met him today! 

It was a joy meeting this handsome little fellow, but while we were visiting with him and his parents I found out that a dear friend's mother passed away from cancer. This was a woman who cheered me on during middle school cross-country meets ~ so you know she was someone special.  Later she quietly encouraged me when I was stuck sitting on the soccer bench in high school (while her daughter was scoring all the goals). I've only seen her once since those athletic 'glory' days and I don't know how to react, respond or grieve. 

Am I allowed to cry?
